We are going to Hawaii in May. Staying at the Royal Hawaiin for five nights and then thinking about going to Maui for a few. What hotel should we stay at in Maui?

We stayed at the Westin Resort and Spa in Maui and loved it!!!
We also stayed at the Royal Hawaiian in Waikiki. It was nice - very pink.

It isn't a hotel, but a building of condos where you can rent from the condo owners:Valley Isle Resort
Fh and I stayed there in September (we actually got engaged on the beach right outside). We rented a one bedroom condo for like $150 a night. It was nice because we had our own space (it is basically like your own apartment). We bought breakfast and lunch food at the local grocery store and then just went out for dinner. The condos are really nice and if you get a corner room you will have a balcony off the living room and the bedroom which is right on the beach.

we are staying at the Fairmount while we are in Maui. Every room is a suite and they are the #2 hotel rated on trip advisor I believe..

I second this. We stayed at the Fairmont on our honeymoon and it was absolutely amazing. I highly highly recommend it.

I was thinking about the Four Seasons. You can never go wrong with one of their hotels but I heard it is very family oriented (lots of kids). Did you hear this?

We're going in September so I'm assuming the kiddies will be in school! A friend of mine went there for her HM and said it was the most amazing experience. She didn't mention any kids. She said every day they greeted her by her name, they gave her fruit popsicles by the pool and spritz her with water. They also give you sunblock!!!

We stayed for a week at the Hyatt Regency in Maui. It was amazing and gorgeous. We had a free breakfast every morning because we were honeymooners at the Swan Club. It was just amazing and I would recommend it. The concerige there is awesome too and was helpful booking snorkeling trips and different outings for us. If you like to snorkel go to Boss Frog in laihiana and rent them for the week for $20.
I have honeymoon envy. We went in October after our wedding for 2 weeks and it was the most amazing trip. Enjoy and feel free to mail me if you have any questions.
