we dont know which we should do ... me nor FH has ever been on a cruise (well i was on one for 6 housr to get to the bahamas and then again back) or any Sandals resort. neither one of us have really traveled anywere ... i dont know which one to do ... pros of sandals is that everything is all inclusive con of sandals is that we could probably on afford 8 days there ... are only known pros for a cruise is that we probably could afford a 14 day trip ... only con known for hte cruise is that its not all inclsuive (tips not included and drinks .... with drinks no big deal because we dont drink to much) ... so what do you guys suggest??

I voted for Sandals, because thats what i'd prefer. I dont want to follow anyone else's schedule but my own. I want to be able to relax on a beach if I want and not wait for the ship to dock or rush back before the boat leaves.Thats just my personal opinion. And i really want to do Sandals St. Lucia!
im going to disney but i would definatly go with sandals

so you don't want a 14 day honeymoon? being able to afford a 14 day cruise is nothing bad...how long do you want the cruise to be...bc for con of sandals you wrote only 8 days and con for cruise is 14 days

I gotta say--the 14 day cruise might sound like a great idea, but in the end, it can get VERY expensive. When you are on the cruise, you just use your room card for drinks--and it racks up! Plus you are stopping in ports along the way, and you want to do lots of shopping--but like I said, it CAN add up a lot. And unless its free style cruising (like Norwegian), you have to eat your meals according to THEIR time table.
For a HM I would HIGHLY recommend an A-I resort like Sandals. Trust me when I say that it might only be '8 days', but it will feel AMAZING. You are truly pampered and not having to put up money from the moment you arrive, until you leave (aside from any off resort tours & shopping)....they really do make an effort to make your HM memorable.
My parents went to Sandals Montego Bay and RAVED about it. (My dad is very difficult to please--so that was a surprise) DH and I went to Couples Ocho Rios in Jamaica, and I swear I felt like a VIP the entire time. The all inclusive option really is amazing!
If you are considering Jamaica at all--check out Couples, cause they offer a lot of tours and such that Sandals would charge for.....but at couples its free!

i think it depends on what kind of HM you are looking for...if you want to just relax and have a quiet relaxing hm then don't do a cruise, you will get this more at sandals.
For a cruise when you get to excursions its usually early, i remember one time we got to a place at 7am and you have just a few hours so you want to get up and get going.
A cruise will have alot more activities for the both of you, so again just depends on what you are looking for.
And yes on a cruise it can add up at the end and its very easy to lose track of what youre spending bc you charge everything to your room key and pay at the end. The meals are included in the dining halls, but at the restaurants you do have to pay for it

I don't think i'll be much help in this decision...those are the exact choices we have too! we went on two cruises last year and LOVED them...but my bf went to st lucia for her hm and said it was amazing! I have some time yet..but good luck!!

Norweigian to Canada and Carnival to Bermuda for my Brother's wedding. Both were great. We are actually thinking another cruise Bermuda because it was SOO amazingly beautiful there and there was so much to do!

I always vote against the cruises for honeymoons. But I know lots of people LOVE them! For me, I have done 2 cruises both with royal caribbean. I have concluded that for me it is more appropriate for a group trip rather than a romantic trip. And the second time me and FH got seasick for the first time in our lives- but there were also very high swells that week. Also, for us, the drinks added up fast! And I feel like I am always having to keep track of time on the islands so I don't miss the boat. And I always felt so sad to leave the ports and found myself envious of those staying at the resorts.

If you don't mind sharing with me, because I am looking into Sandals too, what is good about St. Lucia...that is the only island I heard not so good things about..I mean, I heard it's pretty but very boring, not many places to go and that there aren't casinos...what do you know about it that you could share with me?
