Need help: shopping for a gown

Hi! I am starting to look for my wedding dress next weekend, and I have an appointment at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa. I would like to have another appointment scheduled the following day just in case I don't find one I like. I live in Chicago and I am flying home just to find my dress, so I really need to find one that weekend. Where else should I be looking? Any suggestions would be helpful. I just don't even know where to begin.

Def try Wedding Salon in Manhasset, I love, love, love that store, the consultant is with u from the very beginning to the end, u never feel rushed or pressure to buy a dress, plus they have very good recommendations on what type of dresses u prefer.

Have you gone dress shopping at all yet? If not, it might be useful to go someplace in Chicago and just try on a bunch of dresses in different styles and silhuettes. That way you'll have a better idea of what looks good on you.

I totally agree. Go to at least one store to get an idea of what you like, that way you at least know which direction to head in when you come to NY.

Plus, it also depends on what your dress budget is. If you're budget is on the mid-to-high end I totally recommend The Wedding Salon of Manhasset. I worked with Rosemary and she was great. Also, if there are any specific designers you like see if any of the stores are having trunk shows. Trunk Shows are a great way to see all the dresses from one designer, plus you usually get a discount.

Good luck!

Also, once you find 'the' dress, you can call around to different bridal shops to see who has the best price.

This!

This is what I did (I live in DC), and fell in love with a particular designer. So when I came home, we went places that sold that designer and chose one
