Need Help w/composing Bachelorette Party Invitation.

I didn't want any bachelorette party, but since FH is going away for his, I figured why not. I'm not an all night party animal like I used to be and not into the club scene anymore. I also don't want to put my friends out for a big expense. I decided to host a dinner (which will be at my friend's house, but I'm paying for the catering) then we will go out to a comedy club. Can anyone come up w/a cute phrase for an invitation. Thanks Ladies!

I don't know if this sounds any good or if it is too corny but this is what I came up with:

While Joyce's Prince Charming is away
All of us girls must go out and play
We will meet at the house for some wonderful food
to fill us up and get us in the mood
Then we will go to the Comedy Club for alot of laughter
Before her day of Happily Ever After!!!!

Are you paying for the club, too? Or just the dinner?

You could use the above suggestion and then write 'Compliments of the Bachelorette' at the bottom.

I forgot that you were throwing it so you could do:

before my day of happily ever after!!!!

Melisa, you are so CLEVER! Joyce, I'm thinking the old 'EAT DRINK AND BE MERRY' line would be apropos somehow??? Usually i'm clever-er but i had a long week and can't quite string anything cute together...

Are you crazy? Why are you paying for the catering? I say go to Chili's or something where there are two-fers if you are worried about the girls having money. It's your night girl! You shouldn't have to pay for anything. I don't understand why people accept positions in a wedding party but don't do what they are supposed to

Ok, enough yelling at you You are too nice Joyce. I didn't want the batchelorette party either. I'm not into all that stuff so we went to a Mexican kereokie bar. It was freakin hysterical and the food was great! Home and tucked in by 12:30

I'm throwing my batchellorette swaray
because you all in my bridal party just won't pay.
There will be food compliments of me
but I definitely won't be paying for the comedy.

That is cute Nic. My bridal party has not refused to pay. Two of them are paying for their college and the other one $ is tight for. She's my friend of 30 years and has done so much for me. She is definitely not cheap. Some brides to be throw a bridal party luncheon for the BM's. This will be small. Of course, u are invited.

Joyce, I was only teasing! I'm in a very giggly mood. I totally wasn't singling out your wedding party. I was just making a general statement. I'm sorry it came off that way. But the poem was funny- c'mon, you know you laughed Everyone has people in thier BP where money is tight. I did too.

Ok- i'll be serious- I think the poem that was rewritten is really cute. I would use that. I would make it somewhat small so that it fit at the top of the card and then under it I would put the information. Place, date, time and so forth. On the cover you can get a cartoon batchelorette party girl. I think that would be cute. Hallmark has batchelorette party invitations and they are not expensive at all. I know the one in Oceanside has them.

Joyce

What you're doing is very nice. We are throwing the BBQ after our bach party, too, and everyone paid their own way for the wine tour. (Our BP didn't let us pay, but we found a sneaky way to contribute) We were uncomfortable with so many people spending so much money on us when all we really wanted to do was have fun and let our friends know we appreciate them.

I think everyone (at least I do) knows that's all you were trying to do, too. I think it's a lovely idea. I'll keep brainstorming ideas for your invites. Worst case, just let them know about the dinner by word of mouth. I'm SURE if they realize it's at your house (or someone's house) that they don't have to contribute.

Or you could say:

While (FH's) away, the girls must play!
I'm having you over for dinner on
DATE
And then we'll all head out to the comedy club for some laughs!

Something along those lines makes it obvious that you are throwing the dinner and the comedy club is pay your own way.

It'll be a great day -- you and your friends will have fun. That's all that matters.

Okay, sorry. I joke when I'm trying to make things better. I think your party is a great idea and I didn't mean to imply otherwise by laughing at the poem.

We all loooooooove you.

I'm sorry -
