my fh's fingers are slim, with larger knuckles. Thus his ring is all loose around the finger, but if he went 1/2 size smaller it would be too small for his knuckle. I believe there are things you can get for your rings. Does anyone know what I am talking about? Any suggestions?

I know they make these little thngs that make the ring smaller. I've seen them in plastic and metal. I don't know what they are called, but maybe he could try them out?

My DH has teh SAME issue with his! There are those round 'balls' they place inside to hold it in place. The jewelers said they cost between $35-$50 to have put inside the ring.

sorry 06 bride but i'm curious --- the plastic/metal strip that can be put in will scartch the ring do not use it - I had one for my e- ring b/c my fingers are very little and my ring is all engraved so the jeweler didnt want to cut too much off - my ring was scratched up pretty bad after only about two weeks of wearing - The ring was purchased at Gross in Garden City the were able to repair most of the damage and put the balls in for free! they are very comfortable and are removable by the jeweler ! Most jewlers will add them for free if you purchased the ring from them!

I have these in my engagement ring and they rock! My jeweler put them in for free.

The balls are called shots and any reputable jeweler should be able to install them. They are made of the same metal as your ring...so gold or platinum will do. They go in the shank (or bottom) of the ring and don't affect your slipping the ring over the knuckle, but allow the ring to stay in place without falling off. It should be no more than $50, if anyone is charging more than that they are ripping you off.
