Need help - What piece of cario equipment would you buy?

Need help - What piece of cario equipment would you buy?

Anthony and I have decided for Christmas instead of getting each other gifts we would spend about $1,000 on a piece of cardio equipment. (I really need to lose this baby weight and cant drag 2 kids to the gym after work.. no way )

So my question to you is..if you could get any piece of cardio equipment what would you get?

What do you think would give me the best overall body workout.

Ive been thinking of an elliptical, stariclimber or a treadmill.

Where would be the best place in Suffolk to go test some out?

Where would you buy cardio equipment?

I have the gazelle. Its fun but I still hardly ever use it.

I would pick the elipstical. Best cardio with lowest impact.

We just bought an elliptical trainer. For 1K you can get a really good one. We did not spend that much and we spent less than we thought we would.

ETA: Sports Authority has many on display.

Thats what I was thinking of using. I prefer the treadmill but I have knee problems. I had chondromalacia when I was like 18 and they just never really got better after that. I think the elliptical would be best but Ive tried them at the gym and I always seem to feel very unbalanced on them.. I guess its something I would get used to.

Sports Authority is right by Babies R Us I think... Ill go check them out! Thanks everyone!

Elliptical machines are proven to have best effect on weight loss...you burn a lot more calories than the treadmill and you work out your arms at the same time.

Norditrack has a good one out to that folds...its about $800

Eliptical Cross trainer. .There's also that store on the LIE South service road- at Motor Parkway.... Action Sports?

I like the elliptical the best.
Theres a place on Jericho Tpke. in Huntington/Cold Spring Harbor. It's just East of Round Swamp Road about 2 lights up on the left hand side. They have trainers there but you can also try and buy there.
