Ok.. so for married couples is it proper to write..
Mr. & Mrs. Bob Smith
or
Mr. & Mrs. Smith

The proper way is
Mr. & Mrs. John Smith
But either way is fine. Nobody really notices what it says on the outside envelope, we brides just drive ourselves crazy!

Apparently your supposed to use 'and' instead of '&'
But honestly, no one will notice and no one will care.
