Need Help with Bridesmaid Dresses

OK, all you busty girls out there I need some help. I'm trying to determine what the best style is best for my girls. Two of the girls are large chested (I'm not and I'm afraid that I'm picking the styles that I like to wear) and I want to be sensitive them. I'm thinking A-line strapless (it's an evening semi-formal wedding). Do you think that's a good style? Is there any other style that you think is better for women with large chests? Thanks!

how busty are we talking? I have a girl in mine who is a 36 DD. she is thin everywhere else and my cousin is a 34D too. I attached my dress. The reason I went thi s way instead of strapless, is so they can wear a bra. It is low back, but they got a 'convertible' bra. it worked out great. I am not large breasted, but I'm not sure strapless is good...but spaghetti is just as bad b/c either way they can't wear a bra.

Have you considered 2 pieces? If their figure is not a-line, they may not look as good and will need to order larger size to fit the top. I think cowlnecks work well on big busts, or other stiles that are sleeveless, but have shoulders. And perhaps a straight, non-a-line skirt?

I am letting my BM's pick the styles, I am only dictating the color, because of this reason.

I think a 2 piece would be best for your girls..

one more thing....
if I learned anything, I learned to try your best to flatter them even if it means getting different dresses the same color. I went to a wedding recently where they had 8 BMs and 4 were girls who looked great in strapless, but the others were either very young or 2 girls were a little heavy and they had said they didn't want to wear strapless...so they wore tank. it looked great b/c everyone looked comfortable in the dress they were wearing ....

good luck!

Personally, I think strapless dresses look great on nearly every shape.

If your girls are busty - I would steer clear of spagetti straps, empire waists or anything with a high neck.

I was at a wedding last year where all the girls were busty and wore strapless dresses. All of them looked so uncomfortable. They were constantly pulling up the dress. They were holding the dress while they were dancing. They fit them o.k. I do not think the top would have fell off but I think they just looked so unhappy. I also chose the color only for my girls and let them get any dress style they wanted. I think it's good b/c they will all be happy and if they pick it themselves, and get another occassion to, they may wear it again.

for the most part, bustier ladies like to wear their own bras with dresses, etc. because of this, you may want to choose a dress that would allow for that (one with thicker straps). however, your best bet is probably to ask the BMs what they prefer. if they have a strong preference one way or another, i'm sure they'll let you know.
good luck!

You should probably stear clear of dresses with a halter top. One of the dresses I was considering (until my busty BM tried it on) had a halter top...It looked like her girls were going to jump right out of her top. Considering I have 3 busty BM's we decided to go with another style. I'm sure the guys wouldn't have minded it but I really didn't want that look for my wedding.

When I went to pick out the dresses I took one skinny miny and one busty BM with me to make sure it would look good on both body shapes.

In the end this is the dress that we went with...

This is the one we had originally been looking at...

Good thing we didn't choose this one too because we found out later that one of my BM's will be 5 month prego (making her even more busty than she already is) at the wedding (plus the other dress also leaves more room for her little belly).

I think anything that they can wear a bra with would be most comfortable, I think straps would be best because I personally don't think everyone looks good in strapless and it might be uncomfortabel for them.
