Need help with doctors

I am new to living on long island and i live in syosset, work long hours in the city. I am looking for a doctor and a gyno who have weekend hours, preferably female, in my area, plainview, woodbury, syosset, even western suffolk, im familiar with the levittown area. I could go as far as babylon. Any help would be appreciated

Can I add to your thread - if anyone knows anyone with similar requirements in the Bellmore area - can you add those too?

Maybe one who has offices in both LI and NYC - I know many of my friends from Westchester have a doctor who has hours in both offices and it works out nicely.

Your best bet would be to either search within your provider's book of doctors or see if they have an online directory. I had to pick docs for the first time when I started working at this job (my previous insurance had centers, rather than a network from which to choose my docs), and I did an online search and just took a chance with the docs I picked. I may switch PCP's and haven't been to the new OB/GYN yet, but since I don't really have anyone to reccommend anyone to me, I have to rely on the tried and true method of take a chance and see.

I know how you feel. I won't tell you how long it's been since I've been to the OB/GYN! Bad, bad, bad.

I grew up in Syosset but haven't lived there in quite a while. I'll ask my parents if they know of any in the area (they have HIP so they use their doctors at the center, but they didn't always).

I live in long island and work in rockefeller center.

I use a gyno off 34st west. Near Park.

Sounds out of the way, but she's a great gyno.

I don't know if she has long island offices. I'll have to call and find out.

jen...I recently read on here that NPs cannot deliver babies...have you heard this?

I love the individual attention NPs and PAs are able to give
