Need Help with doing Monogram on WORD!!

I'm following the directions on the DIY thread. Up until now, I was so excited that I was finally learning how to do this. I'm using Word. I made the three initials. I can NOT for the LIFE of me select all the letters to get to the 'right click' grouping option. I held down 'control' to be able to 'highlight' the three letters, but then when I right-clicked, 'Grouping' isn't an option. Can someone help me? This is frustrating the heck out of me!

Thank you!

What version of Word are you using? Is it older?

No... the new one. I just got this computer from Dell about a week ago, so it's the latest version.

Are you sure that you have more than one text box selected? You actually have to hold down the shift key and highlight each text box.

If you're still having problems let me know. I'd be happy to put something together for you in Fireworks.

'shift'? or 'control' key. Either way, I tried both, and it still doesn't work.

I had the exact same problem....!!!
I got around it by making each text box bigger so that at least one corner of each letters box could be clicked on even when they were all in the proper place. Does that make sense??

It was a pain in the butt!!! I finally ended up using photoshop...it was so much easier.

So, right click on the first text box and highlight the letter... hold control. Right click on the second text box while holding the CNTRL and highlight that letter. Keep holding down CNTRL and right click on the last text box while holding down CNTRL and highlight that letter. Then let go of CNTRL and right click to get the GROUPING option (which never pops up at this point... thus the problem). I will keep on trying. I'm gonna throw up, but I'll keep trying. lol

Thank you!

you need to left click on the text boxes while holding ctrl to select all the boxes. then press the key that looks like a menu on you keyboard; it's on the right hand side between the windows key and the Ctrl key. HTH

I DID IT! Thanks, ladies! I ended up drawing a box around all three letters, and right clicking THAT box surrounding all of them. Then, all of a sudden, Grouping was available to me. And... ta-da! (Thank you for leading me through this, ladies!)
