We're taking photos at Brooklyn Botanic Gardens (yay cherry blossoms!!!)
I have a dress picked out, but I have concerns 1) is it too dressy? 2) it's sleeveless and my arms are not in good shape (I'm plus size) 3) What does FH wear?
Picture this dress, but sleeveless and in amethyst. I can't find the actual dress online. it's a Jones NY and I love it, but I don't know if it's too dressy. Fh really doesn't want to go dressy but I am thinking maybe he can get away with a dark blue striped button down and dark jeans?
PLEASE help me!

it's a cute dress...but I do think it is too dressy
I'd wear a casual sundress or jeans and a plain top
but you have to feel comfortable!

I think I know what dress your talking about because I have something similar. I persoanlly think its to dressy if you are going for casual pictures. But if more fancier pictures are ok with you that's fine. Your idea for you FH sounds good or he could wear even like black or khaki dress pants with a button done which always looks nice and will dress him up a little more.
wear what you want to wear...i wore a dress and fh wore dark jeans, button down shirt and a trouser jacket. whatever you will be most comfortable in...wear it. remember the pics reflect you
i think the classic and pretty one is perfect....not too dressy and very classy

Thanks ladies! I went shopping and picked out a cute, more casual dress. Actually FH pickd it out.
it's a sleeveless off while empire waist dress. The neckline and wid straps are black and along the bottom there is a blue and green watercolor flower print. It's playful.
Now I just need to figure out what shoes to wear and white FH is wearng!

1st of I am Plus size and am wearing a strapless and my arms are not amazing. I think as long as you feel confident in the dress it shouldn't matter.
got my dress at Dots and it is a little bit dresser than you average sundress. I told FH to **** it up and wear slacks. Maybe you should do the same if you have your heart set on that dress. Plus you only get your engagment picture done once.
