Hi That is a great song, but it is generally used for anniversary's. But if you feel comfortable with it go with it!

My FI and I have been together for 9 years I think it is totally appropriate!!

I think that song is great!!! I think that when you are in a relationship you are together through everything. Ups downs, smiles tears and that song is expressing that. USE IT.. especially if you like it, then that is all that matters..

ABsolutely. If the song means a lot to you, then there's no reason not to use it. And, actually I don't think Kenny Rogers was singing about his mom

'i've learned what love's about, by loving you...' you've gotta have some wacky relationship going on with mom to have that as a mother of the groom dance...'i'll stay with you through the years....'well then, he wouldn't be getting married then, would he????? so silly, OF COURSE it's a PERFECT song for you two!!!!!!! we've been together 10 also, nearly 11 by the time we are married, and i think that song expresses all you go through in a long term relationship. (i'm wearing a maggie too, by the way!!!!)
