So my FH and I have seen 3 Photographers already, all 3 seemed to have very good work. All 3 places also varied on their packages but the main portion was about the same. The prices seemed on the high side to me but I'm not sure, all 3 places were at $6,000 (2 photographers and video) for their respective packages. That's a little out of our budget. I was curious if anyone was able to FM me some help me with a good photographer or a good deal they might have gotten. Our budget is more in the $4,500-5,000 for photo/video. Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Not sure what type of package you are going for. But try Lighthouse Photography. We're getting photo & video with them & we didn't have a very large budget & they really can work with you. You can design a package that can work best for you & your fiance!

Not sure who you saw but Patken is in your buget (only one photographer though) and Thomas Paul.

******** is really good and they may be closer to 5000..theyre one of the best so the prices are a little high but their work is amazing

The packages we were looking at were pretty basic. We wanted an album for us (something like 70-80 images) 2 parent albums (24 images) a wall portrait something like 16 x 24, the ability to have the rights to our proofs, thank you cards. One big thing is we want a place that does everything in house. It may sound stupid but I feel a place that does their own stuff in house is going to have a more hands on approach to my wedding photo's and how they looks then a place that ships it off to Kalamazoo to be done.
I also didn't know the etiquette for openly posting who I seen and their price range. I'll gladly tell anyone through FM who I seen and what they offered.
Thanks for all the help so far, just trying to get the most for our $$ and avoid horror stories of horrible wedding pictures.

Duet quoted us $6,000 but that was for the platinum package, extra hours and an additional videographer....so I'm sure a regular package without all the extra's would fall somewhere in your range....good luck!!

Proline Studios gave us some very good Photography package prices starting @ $2495, but that was just 1 photographer. Thomas Paul is popular here, we haven't met with him though. Personal Touch also has packages in that range. We're still looking so don't have any other quotes now... For Video there's many excellent videographers for around $1k-$1,500.

im using Ken Hild and his partner Wedding Cinemas for the videographer. They were so reasonalble with their prices, defintly in your budget.
