Need help with picking a band

I need to pick a band for my wedding. I have heard alot of good stuff about Faze 4 and Hank Lane. Any recs?

A friend had Faze 4 and they were amazing. They are also pretty expensive, but supposedly well worth it. I'm also looking into bands soon...but need to scale back a bit. I hear they are in the 14k range. A friend also told me The Projekt is great...they are much more reasonable.

Hank Lane all the way!!!!! They work with every budget and are amazing!!! My friend just booked a Hank Lane band for about $8,000 and she said they had them at all price ranges, I am booking an appointment ASAP with them!

Check out Vali Entertainment in NYC. Not a lot of girls on here have used them but thats who I booked. They do a lot of celebrity weddings and high-profile events. They are sooooo amazing. They work with most budgets. Truly amazing!

'The Touch' is an awesome band and we booked them for our wedding...reasonably priced as far as bands go I think. We have seen them play at a few venues and they are really good-

CODE BLEU!!! They are from Skyline Orchestra. They are definitely in your price range!!! AThey play all genres of music (from Bon Jovi's 'Living on a Prayer' to Frank Sinatras 'The Way You Look Tonight').
I was skeptical about having a band b/c I have always been disappointed w/ bands at weddings...they always butcher the songs, but my FH refused to have a DJ. So, I did a lot of research and people seemed to rave about Code Bleu on here...so we decided to check them out. After 5 minutes of hearing them, I was sold!

I second Soul Revival. They are doing my wedding in a month or so and I can't wait! They can do a 3 pc to a 8 pc band, great prices and great selection of music.

check out Soul Street
They are expensive but worth it... not many people have used them on here due to the price but Billy Joel had them play his wedding..

I'm paying $13,000 for a Sunday night including: Piano player before ceremony, flute and keyboard for ceremony, jazz trio for CH and 13 piece band for reception....

I saw them reherse in the city..they were amazing..very entertaining.

I'm using a Faze 4 band (Scott Yanney) and paying about $9000 for just the reception music. We looked into a bunch of lower priced bands but they didn't really fit our style - a lot seemed more appropriate to play oldies music whereas we want pop and rock. Faze 4 has a great reputation. We also were deciding b/w Hank Lane but found their sales people are really pushy and they don't even let you see a DVD of the bands perform.

I''m looking for a band too but I am on a much lower budget. My biggest suggestion is making a list of must see's based on listening to the samples on their websites and then going to see them live. Sometimes what you like is different then someone else's. I went to see a band that was raved about on here and was really disapointed. If you have a high budget I would call Faze 4...i didnt bother seeing them they were way too expensive but a close friend saw them at a wedding recently and were blown away. Just listen to them on their website, they are great.

I forgot to mention, I am looking into a NYC band that did my FSIL's wedding. They have a showcase coming up on the 22nd. The band is NYC Swing. They did Jamie Lynn Siglers wedding.

I heard Soul Revival was great

I am using The Rhythm Shop. They are out of NJ but tafel. .they have from 9-16 people and are def in your budget (well not the 16 but who wants 16???!) They are amazing.

Check out Body and Soul Productions. They are great musicians, The web site is Bodyandsoulband.net and you can get a DVD to see them or check them out at a showcase which would be posted on their website. They played at my daughters wedding 2 weeks ago and everyone was comenting on how great they were. Tell them Chris sent you!
