Need help with reception hall!!!

I'm new to this board but have already read such helpful advice from all you girls! I'm recently engaged and searching for a reception hall. We're thinking of Leonards, Fox Hollow, North Ritz Club and Jericho Terrace. We're paying for the entire wedding ourselves with 200-250 guests and on a bit of a budget. We're planning a Sunday evening wedding in October or November of 2009 and hoping to stay under $100pp including tip and tax. Can anyone send me prices of what you were quoted for these reception halls? Also if you have any additional recommended receptions halls it'll be great! It just needs to be within 40 mins from the city. Thanks in advance!!!

First off, welcome and congratulations on your engagement!

Ok, October unfortunately is still considered 'peak' wedding season by most halls, and from experience I can tell you that November is not too much cheaper. But that being said, a Sunday evening wedding will probably save you some money.
NRC is definitely one of the pricier (if not priciest) halls you mentioned, and while I don't know much about JT or Leonards, Fox Hollow is DEFINITELY within your price range. Just to give you a little bit of an idea, we were quoted $105 pp (plus tax and grat) for a Saturday night in October '07 at FH - so a Sunday night should be considerably less. NRC quoted us $135 pp (plus tax and grat, also for a Saturday night Oct. '07 wedding).

I would absolutely recommend my hall - Woodbury Country Club, but I think they might be moving at the end of next summer.
You should also look into Westbury Manor - it's in the same price range as Fox Hollow, and the grounds are beautiful.

we had our wedding at Jericho Terrace and it was UNBELIEVABLE. Worth every single penny...i really do not have enough GREAT things to say about them! i'm just not sure about the price...meet with Robert and see. Fox Hollow was another one of our top choices...great place, great price - the only thing was that the room we really wanted was for smaller scale weddings. but they're DEFINETLY in that price range..

Unfortunately, like the above poster said, October and November is still considered peak wedding season and even December is VERY pricey. I'm getting married in January at the Fox Hollow and if you're interested, FM and I'll tell you what I'm paying pp.
