Need help with Reception Places

Hi, I am new to this site... I am hoping you girls could help me. I am getting married in May, 2004 and am having trouble finding a reception hall. We are only having about 40 - 45 guests and wants something intimate, rather than a big catering hall where the guests would be lost. Any suggestions would be helpful! Thank you Thank you Thank you!

You can rent a tent or have it outside? Or since its a small party you can see if you can find a really nice small resturant and close them out for a few hours??

That is a very small minimum, but I think the Met in glen cove accomodates very small weddings.

Re: Need help with Reception Places

This isn't a typical wedding reception place, but we just had my sister's bridal shower at Pomodorino in Hauppauge. There is a private room downstairs. It can fit up to 100 people I think, but we had 60 and it was perfect. There is a dance floor and bar area and seperate bathrooms. The food was EXCELLENT and it was only about $25 a person, but we had buffet. If you have entree choices rather than buffet it will probably be more expensive. Here is the link where I wrote about the shower and that has pictures. And here is the link to Pomodorino . Definately check this place out.

I had my Engagement party at Chateau La Mer in Lindenhurst -- about 50 people or so which was the minimum. Also check out Larkfield Manor in East Northport, I believe the minimum for their smaller room is also 50. Good luck!!!

You could also check out the East Wind, and Westbury Manor, Fox Hollow they all have smaller rooms for small weddings. Also the hall I rented for my eparty would be good also, if you want more info on the hall FM me.

You could try the Thatched Cottage in Centerport.. for us they said 75 was minimum for a small room (we are having less than 100), but they might accomodate your smaller party.. cannot hurt to look!

You can try Molly Malones in Bayshore - it is by the water. I had my engagement party there in the upstairs room - it would be perfect for that amount of people.
