Need help with registry stuff! Question about moving

Okay, so here’s the story.

My FH is Swedish and we’re planning on moving them after the wedding here. Now, we’re trying to get an idea of what to do for a registry. At first, we were just going to do the honeymoon registry all the way but his family has actually said they want to pay for the honeymoon (which is crazy but hey, if it makes them happy, lol) and my family has been a bit skeptical about using the honeymoon registry themselves. I saw some people suggest having a normal gift registry as well as the honeymoon one in case some people are uncomfortable with the honeymoon registry, but I don’t want to look greedy! Besides, the biggest issue for me is: if I register and get tons of houseware, how much trouble is it to get everyone overseas?!

Has anyone had experience with registry for items when they had to move afterwards? Any advice?

I'm not sure it's possible, but, do you have anyone over there who can accept gifts for you? Maybe you can register and tell everyone to order online and ship right there?

All of the electronic things you might get will be the wrong plug so I would stay away from that. How about linens and stuff like that?

Actually, as the FH is there up till about 3 months before the wedding and after that his brother is watching the apartment, that might be an option. Thanks so much!!

You're welcome.... I say not greedy. It gives another option, if people don't want to buy you a gift because they realize that you are moving, and it will be difficult.
