Hey Ladies. I am on the hunt for wedding day shoes. I am a girl that love heels the higher the better. I had my heart set on purple shoes but as I look online am finding this to be an almost impossible task. I would rather go to a store and try on shoes instead of ordering online. Does anyone have suggestions on where to go? Where did you get your shoes?

Try Sandys in Massapequa or Craft Shoes in Commack - both have a lot of wedding shoes. I tried on a bunch in both stores but wound up ordering a pair of Badgley Mishka's from Bloomingdales (after trying them on in the store in a different color). There's a pic in my album - the pic doesn't do them justice, the brooch is SOOO sparkely in person.
I thought I'd wind up with higher shoes, too - LOVE heels. I loved the other shoes in my album (they are all one color - light ivory - in real life) but they made me too tall next to FH

I got mine at Sandy's - I have to wear flats but I was checking ou the heels and they had a ton
they dye the shoes for free so you could get any color/shade or purple that you wanted but they also have shoes that are already colorful too.

You can go into any store and try nina shoes on to feel the size and than go to ninashoes.com and customize them to any color you want

I know you mentioned that you'd rather go into a store -- but if you're not totally against ordering online, try zappos.com
I got my shoes there -- a great pair of ivory peeptoe slingbacks by stuart weitzman on sale What I love about zappos is they have free shipping and free returns -- so if you get something and you don't like it or it doesn't fit right, just send it back, free of charge.

another suggestion - just like Zappos, try Endless.com They have free retrun shipping and are usually much cheaper than Zappos!

Nordstrom has a great selection of shoes both expensive and reasonably priced. I bought these. Love them and they are so comfortable! and the best part is they were only 80 bucks =)
