need help with thank you wording...

i received an E-gift of cash... not sure how i should word the thank you.....

I would say something to the effect of:

Thank you very much for your generous engagement gift, FH and I have placed it in an account to start our house fund (or if you used it to buy something - say Fh and I have used it to purchase a couch for our new apt - or whatever you used it for)
