I posted this on the 2013 board but figured way more people read this one first:
Ok, I know it's early but this one might take me a while to actually do. I was thinking of getting tablecloths and adding small rhinestones to them. Like pintuck table cloths and then on some of the spots where the X's meet I'd glue a rhinestone. What do you think?? I have attached what the tablecloth design will be like...the rhinestones will be small, not big at all.
Also...my theme is ivory, periwinkle blue and bling. Which linen colors would you go with? Ivory under and blue over or blue under and ivory over or both ivory and blue in the flowers?? I don't want it to look tacky so maybe both ivory with rhinestones and then blue in the flowers...where all the green is in the flowers I am adding blue as well.
I like the 'both ivory with rhinestones and then blue in the flowers' idea (I think it will look more elegant

Re: Need help with this...
I'm boring so I'd say ivory everything with blue flowers if those are your colors. Plus I dont think you need to spend money on rhinestones at the crossmarks. I'd keep the sparkle close to the centerpiece if you really want that. It seems a lot of work for something that would be covered up by plates/glassware/breadbowls, etc.
they might even interfere with glassware standing properly. People spill drinks a lot on there own, don't need uneven surface areas to spill wine, etc.
