Need help with traveling dates for Alaska Cruise

I am booking an Alaskan Cruise with Royal Caribbean. I have to choices for traveling dates.

Choice 1:

Travel dates July 1-July 8. I would miss 4th of July here but I only have to take 4 vacation days instead of 5.

Choice 2:

Travel dates are July 15-22. It would be $100 cheaper but i would have to use 5 vacation days. I would also not miss 4th of July here.

Help! Do you think the ship would be more crowded 4th of July week?

I took an Alaskan cruise this year during 4th of July....I think you should take it during the 4th...you miss less work and don't have to use your vacation days.

Re: Need help with traveling dates for Alaska Cruise

I voted choice 1. not only will you have to take off less time from work but it's closer to summer solstice. My dream is to go on an Alaskan cruise during summer solstice.
