Ladies...I need some help...bad. We are planning a Nov 2010 wedding...we booked the Inn at New Hyde Park..which is absolutely beautiful...and after lots of thinking have decided to downsize our venue to save for bigger and better things after our wedding day...we are from Staten Island and would like to still have our affair in LI because of family reasons and would like some help with venue overviews. Nothing compares to the Inn-but would like some advice. We looked at the Swan Club today, which is also nice and very inexpensive-are there any other locations on the island that would be the same pricing. We are doing a Friday night in Nov and the price at the Swan Club was $85 after tax and grat...Please help....I need to make a decision by Nov 1st to get my deposit back from the Inn...Anything on the Riviera????
Many thanks.... The Future Mrs. Denis.....

How many guest are you having.
Westbury Manor Coral House Swan Club Jericho Terrace
All of those are really reasonable. Not sure about your specific time though

Re: Need Help with Venues in LI
a lot of brides who like The Inn also like Jericho Terrace. Im not how much you were looking to downsize though. JT has one of there rooms that holds a max of 140, not sure of the minimum
for a friday in november, i think it was in the high 80s pp,
good luck!

Re: Need Help with Venues in LI
they do about 3. i know that sounds like a lot and of course its not for everyone but i could honestly say that they do the more than 1 wedding thing better than any other rh i have ever been to. they stagger them very well and i also feel that although they have more than one wedding at once, they still have this family like customer service to them, not at all like a wedding factory
floral terrace as blondie suggested, does do only 1 at a time

Try the Fox Hollow as well. Pricing is about the same as the Swan Club.

Re: Need Help with Venues in LI
Everything the other brides suggested are great, also, definitely check out the Riviera at Massapequa. They do one wedding at a time and are on the water. I haven't booked yet but wanted to post b/c I looked at swan club today too! lol
