i loved faze 4 but couldnt afford them. i am using renagade which is the sister band to arcadia (also great) (part of long island paramount) i also looked at: peter greco Ken james hank lane

We hired MGM for the reception. They are amazing! They specialize in Italian/American weddings.
We also hired Soul Revival for our ceremony and CH. They are a young, hip band and are really great.

When we were looking for bands, I did searches on here, then contacted the band to see when they had showcases so we could hear them. I went to 4 or 5 showcases. But honestly, once we heard TSO, we knew we wanted to book them.

We are using arcadia,, Not too expensive , not too cheep, but they do show cases alot, as well as regeade
Absolutely check out Faze 4's Play By Play. I was just at 2 weddings where they were the band and they were phenomenal. Highly recommend them. Also check out Body Heat...totally awesome.

Niteflight! They were awesome and the best to work with. The rocked my party and I've recommended them to quite a few of my friends and to some LIW brides.
The play all the time and are extremely reasonable.

I went to a wedding this weekend that Daybreaks Night played at. They where AMAZING!! They had everyone up and dancing and where so good. Made me sad I cant afford a band

What type of band do you want? as in what type of music do you want? for me, my parents are from ireland and i knew that i wanted some of that music that i grew up with at my wedding. if you're looking for a band that can play ethnic music, i would look in the irish-american papers, italian-american papers, whatever to look. many of the bands post ads in there with contact info.
if it's just a general band that you're looking for, i would go to some bandshowcases and see what's out there. unfortunately though those bands have like at least 7 people in them and cost big bucks.
