where can i go thats not more than like 2 hours a way and not too expensive. not interested in atlantic city.

Mystic is one of our favorite places to go-- we are actually going this weekend--Tons of B&B in all price ranges as well as nice hotels-- HTH Laura

What about Montauk. I love it there. MY FI & I have been there three times and the last time (Feb. of last year) I got engaged there.

I am going to French Manor this weekend. I love this place. My hubby is surprising me with the trip this weekend but I found out when I looked at our credit card statement. I am sooo bad. We stay in the Suites which are beautiful and go to there french 4 star restaurant which is incredible. I absolutely love it there. I highly recommend it.

I stay at a motel that has a kitchen efficiency. It is called Daunte's Albatross Inn. It is right off the plaza on Montauk Hwy in Montauk. Also, the Montauk Manor is beautiful but a little more money. If you want more information, just send me a FM.

Montauk or Mystic. We wet to Mystic this summer for a couple of days. It was so nice and very reasonable

Newport, RI is beautiful no matter what season altought it's about 3 hours from LI. The bed & breakfests are amazing as well as the resturants and mansion tours.

New Hope PA!! Its right over the river from New Jersey. Its a beautiful place, lots to do, and if you want you can stay in Lambertville and walk over the bridge to New Hope! Heres a link to the chamber of commerce website!
New Hope PA is so nice too! Great suggestion Lisa! They have a festival in Oct (?) which is great!

French Manor is no more than 2 hours. We got there pretty quick last time and we thought it was going to be more than 2 hours so we left early. We got there too early.

Montauk!! We stayed at Briney Breezes (I think thats the spelling). It has a small kitchen in the room. We loved it there
also try site 59 they have local getaways as well as distanct ones...

For Newport. I recommend we have stayed at the Cliffside Inn, The Clarkston, and the Cleveland House - check out innsofnewport.com for photos/prices. The Clarkston and the Cleveland House are great b/c you can walk to the center of Town where as the Cliffside you need to drive - all are gorgeous and the mansion tours are fabulous - definitely check out the Breakers mansion if you go!
