My photographer will not be able to take pictures where my FH is getting ready with his GM and his family, which i really really want. It is just not going to work out time wise. I even offered to pay for another photographer but they don't have one available. My next plan is to hire a photographer from another place for like 1 1/2 hours . Any opinions or suggestions. TIA

Hey if you've got the cash and are willing to hire a separate photographer, and this is something you really really want, I say go for it. I just came off a photography site. The photographers are 'Something Blue' - there work is AWESOME and they actually say on their site that they do have 'by the hour' available. Give them a call.

We had DH's aunt go over and take pics. She takes excellent pics. Do you have someone in the family whose interest is photography and they could do it for you?

That's what we did too. MIL took them. There's so little that they do during the get ready process that it wasn't worth it.
If your works like mine the photographers get to the church before you to take pics before the ceremony, so you still get some 'before' shots.
