Need help....problem with E-ring setting

Hey girls need ur opinion....my e-ring is set in two tone 18K gold (prongs in white gold). We got engaged in Venice in September, and now the gold on the band is kind of fading.

My FH is upset because its a custom made ring. We're going to see the jewler Saturday. FH says we should get a new setting.

But it won't be the original ring he proposed with.....

What should I do?

Maybe the jeweler can clean it up or something. I would wait until you have an answer from them.

See if they can replace it with the same setting style that won't fade, that way no one will have to know it's not the same exact ring.

first off, don't stress yet until you see the jewler and what he has to say, you may be panicing for no reason.
Maybe they can just clean it up and redip it in the gold.
