Need HM Help.... Added a Question!

Hey guys.... I'm trying to get back into HM planning since I took a little break from it. I'm realizing now that me and FH probably won't have as much money as I was hoping for the HM after the wedding is all paid off so I think I need to start from the beginning again.... But, also, now FH doesn't wanna do anything touristy. I had originally wanted to do an E. Med. cruise and tour places (my idea of fun ) FH tells me now that he just wants to go to a beach and relax since we've been struggling with matters outside of wedding planning... Would you guys be able to suggest nice beachy places in June for a romantic and relaxing HM? I hoping to find something (hotel and airfare) for below $4000 in total.


Thanks everyone for giving me some pretty good ideas and for getting me out of a little slump. I'm thinking of looking back into Sandals now but I confirmed that this 50% off sale is over in two days. Does anyone know if this sale or any other discount will be coming out soon? We can't make this HM decision in 2 days

My honeymoon to Jamaica is less than 4K but i'm going in April. Not sure if the price differance is huge or not...

I think you can definitely do that in the Bahamas. And you can do that in Mexico, too.

Lots of people goes to Sandals resorts, especially in St. Lucia. I know my friend is going there for her HM (next week!) and I think it cost about $4000 for everything. HTH!

Try pricing out all inclusives in Jamaica, Dominican Republic, and Mexico. You could prolly stay within your budget by going to a very nice place for 5-6 nights or by going to a nice place- but maybe not 4 star- for 7 nights. Try playing around on expedia to get ideas of costs and places then maybe try talking to a TA to see what they can find for you. Good luck!!

* I just typed in Monday june 16-23 for flights and Punta cana on expedia and stuff is comming up in the $3000's including flight and very nice all inclusive resorts. i think you will find something great within your budget!

I believe Sandals is still having a sale. It might not be 50% but I think it is 45% so that is still great!!!

Check it out...I am going to St Lucia but in Sept so I dont know how much the prices change but you can def go there for not too much $

The Caribbean peak season ends in march/april so you will be able to find great deals to the Caribbean.

Jet Blue now flys to Aruba and a few other places so see what they are offering.

The Caribbean Tourism Organization has a honeymoon website (I have to find it) that lists deals and packages to all of the different islands.

I have been to a lot of the destinations and used to work for them so if you have questions let me know.

The one place I haven't been but would love to go to and heard was great is Sandals St. Lucia.

You can get a great vacation in that price range and you still be able to do things (snorkling, island tour, etc) that wont' take up your whole day but more then just laying on the beach.

See, we've been to Cancun, and on a Carribean cruise including Puerto Rico, DR, St. Thomas and Bahamas.... we were hoping for something alittle different but where we still have activities to choose from. Does this help alittle more?

I was in a similar situation and went to a travel agent. He recommended what everyone on here said and we explained to him what we were looking for something more romantic and relaxing. So he recommended Mexico (Mayan Riviera or Jamaica Couples) There are allot of boutique resorts in these areas that specialize in honeymooners. and you have allot of excursion options in both Jamaica and Mexico

keep your eyes pealed for sandals they run a 50% off sale alot... FH and i got 8 days 7 nights in St. Lucia for 3500 that was EVERYTHING we just need to get airfare but if you cut back a day you can do it all for under 4k...

YOU CAN ALWAYS FIND SOMETHING AND NOT LABEL IT AS A HONEYMOON...just go on vacay and get a regular room., Ive taken vacays that cost way less that 4K
