Hi Ladies! I haven't been able to post much lately because my life has been SO insanely busy... so of course it is no real suprise that I am SICK!!
The problem is - I leave tomorrow for Philadelphia - my best friend's wedding is this weekend and I am a bridesmaid! The rehearsal and dinner are tomorrow, wedding on Saturday...
I think I have a sinus infection. I have some leftover antibiotics (I know - I am bad for not finishing them the last time), and have been pushing the fluids like crazy, along with Airborne and hot tea...
Any other suggestions?? I am in for a few VERY long days ahead and I have to be smiling! Thanks...

Oh man - I would def try steaming your face - try to loosen up the pressure.
I find that Theraflu (they make caplets) really works for me!
Feel better!!! Congrats to your friend and bring back lots of pics!!

-and thanks for the congrats for my friend - I am SO excited for her. She and the groom are on antibiotics for stuff this week too! I think they will be fine though - they started them Monday.

The steam thing is great, i boil water with chamomile tea and then put a towel on my head and put my head over the pot...The best home remedy is this garlic thing you do and put up your nose, its supposed to be painful.
I would also get sudafed or something.

definitely steam, steam, steam!!! If you can't put your head over a pot of boiling water - just put your face over a hot cup of tea.
humidify the crap out of your room! if you don't have one and you have a radiator heater put a bowl of water on top and turn the heat on.
take some sinus medicine. i love theraflu!

My FH is already going out to get me sudafed and the halls wtih mentho-lyptus -- I will add theraflu to the list!
I have chammomile tea at home too - I will try that.
The worst is that I am stuck at work and can't leave early since I am taking off tomorrow!

Its been going around....i had it last week. Doc phoned in a prescription of some antibiotic and it worked wonderfully!

Ayr Nasal Spray...
Should give you some relief... also, sit in the bathroom with the shower on really hot to create steam, that might break up some stuffiness in your nose. Excedrin Sinus Headache also is is great. Feel better!

The timing of this is just terrible - I won't even get home until nearly 7 tonight, and then have to pack everything and get up early, go for a mani/pedi and be on the road to PA no later than noon!!
I also am hoping my nose won't be all red and irritated in the pictures... hopefully the makeup girls can make me LOOK healthy at least!

YOU KNOW what my dad did for FH when he was real sick and had a fever, we all laughed at my dad and called him crazy but it actually worked lol, by the morning FH felt good again.
My dad boiled eight whole lemons in water, and you have to drink two whole cups though, one after the other

I know this sounds SUPER GROSS but FH will snort warm salt water when he has sinus issues and the next morning he will be back to normal. It's really gross though!!

ahhh thats another one, i tried it once its not great...I have an alternative medicine book with all these things, or i get it from my parents lol...theyre always doing things like this

yeah they sell the saline nasal spray - it isnt as salty as making it yourself and it works great - i started using it today and it feels so much better!
