OK, so FH I & met in HS, although we did not start dating until 4 years ago. His 10 year reunion is this month & I have recently put on a bit of weight. NOW, both my ex & his ex are going to be there, neither one of us has seen either one of them since HS, but I gotta be a BEECH & try to look slamming. Problem is I gained 15 lbs in the last 3 months. I am totally dieting, but I don't really know how to dress & still look good?
Any suggestions?

I agree with black, you just want to make sure you get the right cut that accentuates your good parts - certain cuts are slimming for some and not for others
Get your hair done, and your make-up too if you can swing it......that can only help make you feel great

I agree with marnles about the cuts. I tried on a black wrap dress and it looked like a trash bag on me. I am short and I dont think this dress was meant for a short person. Plus I had a hard time getting that whole wrap thing under control so it just hung like a giant sheet on me.
So definatly try on a cut that looks good on you.
Go all out, hair, nails, make up, the works.

I say if you are feeling self conscious (which after what Jennbaby said, this seems the case more than you ACTUALLY not looking as great as you want!), then try something like an A line dress or skirt. It kind of hides any areas that you might be feeling uncomfy with. Just love yourself for who you are at this moment! It will save you all the stress and headaches! You are who you are and I am going to go out on a limb and say you're just right!

I agree with all the ladies above, get a dress you feel great in and get your hair and nails done, makeup too if you can and then set aside some time for you and FH to be ALONE before the event, if you know what I mean.

I agree with what everyone has said. Pamper yourself and get your hair done, make up (if you want) and treat yourself to a new sexy dress and shoes. You will look fab! Also, when you get there, have the 'I'm sexy and better than them' attitude and you will definately look it. Remember to also be friendly and not stuck up when you run into them. YOu don't want them to think you are a b-itch. Best of luck sweetie! I'm sure you will be great!
