Need Honeymoon Opinions!

Okay here is some background: I want relaxation and romance, FH loves adventure and hates sitting still. So we are trying to incorporate both into our trip so we have decided on Costa Rica for week one. We cannot decide between two options so please tell me what you would do:

Option 1: 3 nights rainforst/ 3 nights Paradisus

So in this one we would spend our first three nights at a small, not especially nice hotel in the rainforest. But, we would spend all of our days doing adventure tours like hiking a volcano, doing the zipline through the forest and canyoning (rapelling down waterfalls). Then, since we save a lot of money staying at a cheap place for 3 nights, we can afford to stay at the nicest all inclusive in costa rica for the other three, the paradisus.

Option 2: Book all 6 nights at the Occidental (which is not as nice as the Paradisus, but still nice) and spend several days doing adventure tours from there. The tours would not be as nice as the rainforest ones and would involve more travel time, but we would never have to pack up and switch places.

What would you do??

I would do option 2. Here's my reason: In the first option you're doing 3 full days in a row with activities. You're going to get worn out very quickly. Then on your last 3 days, FH is going to fell that they are extremely boring compared to the first 3 and he may not enjoy then as much.

If you take option 2, you can split the relaxation adn activity time better and balance them. For example, on your first day you can relax, the next day do an activity, the 3rd day relax again, and so on. That way, you get a breather in between the activities and FH constantly has something to look forward to.

and look into what shots/pills you need prior to diving into the rain forest!!!

last thing you want is to catch something 'adventurous'......
