We are looking for the best all inclusive deal we can ... here are our criteria... - around 2500-3000, -preferably 5-7 nights, -on the water/beach/ocean, -super service!!!, -non stop flight both directions - no more than 4 hour flight - all inclusive w/ really good restaurants - and whatever else that can be thrown in there

Sandals in the Bahamas or St. Lucia!
We're doing the Bahamas and flying Jet Blue direct from JFK to Nassau for a 3 hour flight - and that's the only thing we had to pay for outside the resort cost for a 7 day, 6 night stay!

we are seriously considering The DR.. Punta Cana... have you been? What's Secrets like? We are thinking of the Paradisus... been to tripadvisor.com... and the reviews are mixed on punta cana... what do you think?

we're doing Couples Ocho Rios in Jamaica--all-inclusive. great rates!

I looked everywhere for an all inclusive in your pricing and also considering flight time and all. the only way you can get that is if you compromise the hotel rating.
Punta Cana definitly - but like i said you'll stay at a 2-3 star and you won't be able to leave the resort.
I researched for a while and the best bet is ...
Aruba!
7 nights eight days at the Renaissance Hotel and Casino. We booked an ocean suite. Package includes daily buffet breakfast, 1 free tour included, round trip air, round trip airport and hotel transfers. and $100 dinner or drink credit. Total price for 2 = $2600.
The same package with a regular room is just $2000
This deal is only available through Costco travel (you have to be a costco member, but who isn;t?) you pay the flight now and the balance 45 days b4 your honeymoon.
Its not all inclusive, but Aruba is a safe and friendly island. You want to be able to explore and eat elsewhere besides the hotel.
Also the hotel is a 4 star, with its own private island.
I'm so excited about it. Its been the highlight of my week!!!

It looks like I am going to go with Mayan Riviera/Playa Del Carmen. Anyone been there? Like it? Its outside Cancun. I'm worried there might be spring break/cancunners in the area.. not what I want for my HM... but still researching.

if your wedding is in may, you will be fine with no spring breakers. And from what I understand, the mexican rivera is more low key and less spring breaky than cancun.

Secrets in Punta Cana was awesome!! Now called Excellence.. www.excellence-resorts.com
The Paradisus Palma Real is also really nice..but there are kids there and it is surrounded by a lot of other resorts..Excellence is completely remote and secluded and adults only.
I highly highly recommend Excellence, but if you think you will want to do a lot of excursions I suggest staying at Paradisus Palma Real. The only excursion done at excellence is the ATV's..all others are about 45min away by bus.

i stayed at Sunscape the beachin Punta canc-all-inclusive...went with a bunch of friends it was great the place was beautiful

Are you totally nixing a cruise? Thats what FH and I are looking into. Water front Excellent service 3 hr flight from NY to FL all inclusive 3,4,5,6,7 nights We are looking for just your reg. balcony room leaving out of FL Lauderdale (Jet Blue flies into FL and we are using out AMEX pts for our airfare). Princess and Royal Car. have balcony rooms starting at like $1200pp
