NEED HOTEL HELP!!!!!!

NEED HOTEL HELP!!!!!!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so mad. I was about to block with the Wind Watch. They said I could use the bar after my party. They sent my contract and there was no mention of it. I e-mailed my contact, and she told me they could not guarantee to keep the bar open later than 1am (my reception ends at 1230) and it would be discretionary for the manager on that night.

This was the ONLY REASON I was going to block with them.

Help!!!

What other hotels in the are (near Sayville) have a suite for me and FH that night AND a bar AND aren't crappy! I am SO MAD right now!!!!!!!!!

Re: NEED HOTEL HELP!!!!!!

I am having a similar issue with wanted a hotel in the area with a bar. Our RH West Sayville CC, plus we live in Sayville. The only one I have found close is The Holiday Inn in Ronkonkoma. I stayed there after my cousin's wedding 2yrs ago and they didn't kick us out of the bar until about 4:30am. This works for both our families, since they are all very Irish
The rooms were nice, not sure if they have suites, haven't gotten a moment to call them yet.

What about the Hilton Garden Inn? Or the Courtyard Marriott?

I read somewhere on here that the Hilton doesn't have a bar.

I did hear that the Courtyard Marriott has one, but no one ever picks up the phone there!

wow, wind watch told us straight-forward that the bar is not going to be open after 1am. they did that because of the incident they had last year... a bar tender flew out of the window coz of drunk guests.

i'll check my records on who we spoke to at marriott... maybe she can help you. i'll fm you.

There is also a Raddison and a La Quinta by Mac Arthur but I am not sure if they have bars or not and I don't know of anyone who have stayed in either.

OMG! Out the window? Jeez!

She definitely wasn't up front, and even after the fact she said it still 'could happen' but they wouldn't guarantee it. Your contact at Courtyard would be very helpful!!! Thanks!!

Hi!!!

My parents just went to the wind watch yesterday and got the same feeling from them regarding the bar.

I was planning on using that hotel as well and now I am thinking of using the Courtyard Marriot.

My parents said it was still pretty nice - and had a nice bar with this outdoor area that has a firepit and chairs where you can hang out (and smoke cigars - which my dad loved) and they were much nicer about keeping the bar open etc. I would definitley check it out!

I read that on here too somewhere in a review from a bride that had her wedding at the Hamlet Wind Watch next door (which is where Im having mine). I havent booked the Wind Watch hotel yet because of her review. I second guessing it. Ill see if I can find it for you. What about the Marriot in that area? is that close?

That's everyone stayed after my sister's wedding at the Vanderbilt at Dowling.  It was very nice!

Call Jaime Tyler, Sales Coordinator at Marriott. She can give you a tour and answer any of your questions. She was the one who met with us.

I ended up choosing Wind Watch coz I have plenty of OOT guests and they offered me a better deal. My family will be drunk by the time we get back to the hotel so we want them to sleep and be ready for the brunch the next day.

Hope that helps!

The Marriott is actually two miles closer to Land's End! And they quoted me $30 less per room, per night.

Anyone know how the Marriott's bridal suite is?

Not sure about the bridal suite - my sis and her husband actually stayed in the city on their wedding night.

Isn't the Marriott Islandia across the street? I have stayed there many times for weddings and they keep the bar open late.

It's sort of across the LIE, just slightly further from my hall than the courtyard - you think i should check there too?

Yes, the back of the Marriott is across from the Hyatt. Every time I have stayed there it has been nice. The bar is open late and they offer brunch the next morning. This may have to be worked into your package though.
