Need hugs!

I know I am pretty new here, but I am already so impressed with all of the support you give each other. Normally, I am kind of a private person, but I really need your thoughts and prayers...

My mom had breast cancer five years ago, and it came back this spring. She has been on treatments, and it keeps spreading. Today, she got another phone call that it spread more and she is going to have to start chemo. It's like every time I cope with the news of it spreading, it just gets worse and I am a mess again. She was trying to put off the chemo until after the wedding, but it looks like that's not going to be possible. Part of me just wants to elope and not even spend my energy stressing about the wedding. But I know she's looking forward to it. I guess I just have to spend as much time with her as I can now, and try to be positive. It's just so hard...

If you can, please pray for my mom and that the chemo works to slow the cancer down. Thank you so much for listening.

What a horrible thing to be going through. I cant even imagine the pain and stress you are undergoing...I will keep her in my prayers...and I do pray that everything turns out ok and that she will be able to enjoy your wedding.

I agree, try to spend as much time as you can with your mother, but I think she would feel bad if you didn't go through with the wedding....like it was her fault. And I'm sure she IS looking forward to it as much as you are!

Eloping wouldnt be a good idea especially for your mom (especially if she is looking forward to the wedding and helping you plan) You can take the possitive of the wedding and keep her busy with that and her mind off her medical issue! I am sending healing prayers your way
