need idea for a fancy night out (NYC)

so for my friend's bday (who is single) i am taking her to salon for hair cut/styling/mani/pedi/ and makeup application

so im sure she will feel amazing afterwards.....but...where do we go????

i got the 'beauty package' on one of those groupon-type of sites, so i still have a bit of $$ to spend. but not too much. (less than $100)

any suggestions of where to go? salon is in NYC.....

salon is midtown, but i dont mind hopping a cab

How about going to the Modern's Bar Room for wine / cocktails? You can sit at the bar, have truffle oil popcorn, and even order a pizza or something. The food is good there - it's $$$$ but not if you just sit in the bar room!
