Need ideas...
Ok, this is the situation, I have the lamest bunch of friends and family. My FH is having his B Party tomorrow night and I want to go out to keep my mind off what may be going on.
I only have one freind to go out with tomorrow night. I moved to Suffolk County last year and have no idea where to go. I would like to have dinner, then dance and have drinks. My friend is single and in her 40's looking for a 'high quality' man. (lol) Anyone know of a good place to go? Would like it to be on the south shore maybe bay Shore area, but at this point any suggestion would be helpful.
I shouldn't even be planning my own B Party!!! Let alone having only one friend to go with!
Thanks for the ideas and lettingme vent!

Re: Need ideas...
I don't really have suggestions for places to go in Suffolk...if you are willing to come to the city...I am going to dinner and drinks with 3 other girls! My FI is also having his bachelor party this weekend. So me and three friends (all of which's b-friends and husbands are going to the bachelor party) are going out! (My bachelorette party isn't for a couple weeks!)Don't worry about him. You should go off all day and pamper yourself. Go get a manicure and pedicure! or even a massage. Go window shopping at some nice stores.
I hope you find somewhere great to go otherwise!

I'm not sure if you are will to come up to Huntington, but there are some great places there. For dinner/drinks, I'd check out either Red Bar and Restaurant (great food) or Blue-something-or-other maybe Oyster Bar etc (I totally am blanking out on the name right now). They are both on New York Ave. / Route 110. Red is more of a restaurant - great atmosphere and awesome food. The other place (with the weird name) is just north of Red on the same road. It is an over-25 (for men) bar/restaurant that just opened recently. The crowd is primarily yuppy-professional types.
I don't think there is too much dancing down in Huntington Village but you could check out Chesterfields - It is an over 23 or 25 jazz club right on the corner of NY Ave / 110 and Main Street.
My other favorite place in Huntington is Xando - a cafe where they serve food, coffee and alcohol. The best thing on the menu is S'mores - They bring out a little fire (sterno-thing) and you make your own S'mores! So cute -
Anyway, whatever you do, have a great time!

Debbus, Molly Malone's in Bay Shore is nice. It's right on the water, right where the ferrys leave for Fire Island. Their drinks are kind of pricy, but nice scenery and a mixed crowd. Good luck and enjoy yourself!
