Need ideas

Need ideas

I don't know if you guys remember but my grandmother passed away in March. She always promised me she would be at my wedding and I know she was fighting real hard to do so but just couldn't hold on. Well we have her wedding gown and I want a piece of her with me on our wedding day so I was thinking of sewing a piece of her gown inside of mine. I was also thinking of giving a piece to my florist for my bo-k I will also be attaching a picture of her on it as well. Any other sugggestions? TIA

I think your ideas are great! That is really sweet. Is there any lace or beading that you can use to make your veil?

Those ideas are really great. I am having a table with candles and putting pictures of family and friends who have died and could not be with us on a table. I am going to put a poem also on it.

I am actually contemplating that too but I am almost afraid too. I took my grandmothers death pretty bad and I still cry all of the time about her so I don't know if I can handle it that day. I really want to though so I have to see. Thanks!!!!

Yeah I am the same way. As it approaches I start to get more upset that a really good friend of mine and my grandparents aren't going to be there. But for me and FH I feel like I need to do it for us. I think I will regret it later. But that is just me. It is very hard and I know I will have family and friends with me and I will still have a good time.

A friend of mine had a christening gown made for her first child from her gramma's dress, I loved that idea!

My uncle mentioned the ring bearer pillow which is a good idea too

when my grandfather passed away i wanted to a chair for him at the wedding, a whole place setting. but that might be too hard.

I wanted to do the same thing for my friend because he was suppose to be a groomsmen. But I think it will be too hard also.

My dad passed away five years ago - I'm going to put a mention in the church program that my bouquet is dedicated to him - maybe you can include something like that in your program as well?

i think for me i couldn't do it especially because if the conversations we had. I am placing a butterfly in my bo-k as well for her
