Ok - so when FH and I booked i knew our date was 2 days before his parents anniv. - but what i didnt realize was that its their 40th
So i feel a little bad b/c the wedding stuff will be keeping everyone so busy that their big day will be a little overshadowed.
So i was thinking of doing something for them at our wedding - since we're not doing a garter throw or anniversary dance - i thought maybe have the dj play their wedding song and make an announcment of their anniversary.
Does that sound like a good idea or is there something else someone could suggest?

awwww thats a great idea...well maybe if you will have time but take them out to dinner the week before.

OH WAIT fh's parents anniversary is close to our wedding date too, not as close as 2 day but hmmmm now i have to think about this

Okay - do a special cake & while they are dancing to their song - have the cake presented.
Also - get a dual picture LARGE frame and have their picture in it with a blank space for yours & your hubbies. Possibly get a thingy so it can be engraved....with something like - 40 years past and 40 more just beginning and the just beginning is under your picture....

If possible - maybe make it a 4 opening picture frame (8x10 would like nice) - i'll see if i can find one.
This way - you do two pics of them - one when they were dating - then married. One when YOU & FH were dating, and leave the married space blank.
apparently they wanted a certain song that FMIL mother didnt like and wouldn't let her use it - so they used some other song. So would i have the DJ play their real song - or the song they really wanted. I was gonna pick the song they really wanted since they never got the chance to dance to it ..

Well i wanted to surprise them - and im not sure if they'd like to be put on the spot too much. Thats why i thought the dance idea might be the right touch...
