Need Ideas...

what are you guys getting your FH for christmas? I am at a loss this year. We decided to for once stick to a budget BUT I can't seem to think of anything great. I REFUSE to buy him clothes. The guy has stuff with tags on it from two years ago! (plus we share a closet now )

what's your budget? I'm in the same boat, ours is $200! but I didn't buy him an engagement gift so I might splurge and combine the 2 abd get him ps4 or the little giant ladder for work. that one on the infomercials... it's a $400 freaking ladder!!! idk all I know is he wants it lol

FH loves tools. So does my dad and FFIL.

Is he big on technology? Something pertaining to an ipad, iPhone, tv accessories? We got Apple TV for my FFIL last Xmas and he LOVED it! Sometimes I literally go into Best Buy and walk around till I find something cool! lol HTH!

What about tickets to a concert or a big hockey/football game? I know you said you guys are both big into those so what about that? Make it like an event? If its a football game get a hotel near the stadium and spend the night and then the next day do stuff in the city?

we arent doing gifts this year we decided, but
1. you could never go wrong with tickets to a concert, comedy show, or something like that

2. restaurant.com is also really great, and you can get a $50 gift certificate for places for only $20

3. if he likes to ski/snowboard, I usually get my FH a killington gift card every year (we go up to VT a lot)... but all of the ski resorts do gift cards now

4. if he's into cars, they have alot of places where you can rent a ferari for the day or something like that... my FH has been dying for something like that for awhile now haha

5. go on groupon under events/activities- sometimes there are some of good ideas that show up

well we have season tickets to the islanders & the jets season is almost over. concert tickets are out as we are going to billy joel in april & we arent really huge into any artists. he let a drive in a ferari expire that he got from his mom so I am not wasting money on that. Maybe I will look on groupon or restaurant.com and look for some date night activities. I know he'd like tools but I have no clue whats cool/good. I may ask my dad to come shopping with me hahah

I have been soooooo beyond stumped with presents this year. We put a limit because of the wedding and we've been doing projects around our new home so I'm struggling with ideas. FH is really into Crossfit so I might just go with new weight lifting sneakers and some Crossfit accessories. Or I was going to get 'The Beats Pill' speaker by Dr. Dre which in turn would benefit both of us lol

I bought fh a table and he is an avengers fan so I bought him the ultimate avenger

I bought him a two tee fury shirts since he is obsessed with that site, and they make marvel cologne I bought him the gift set last year he liked the ironman and captain America one so much they are gone so I found them singularly and bought them.

FH is a huge Fast and Furious fan and was literally devastated when Paul Walker died, cried and everything. So I got him all 6 movies on blu-ray for $50 (thanks, Amazon!). Other than that, I'm stumped too, but this post has actually kind of helped! LOL!

You should def check out Groupon Goods or even Groupon Getaways, maybe a little trip for the two of you!

We usually go all out for Christmas and spend way too much money. This year, we set a $500 limit (not like we can even afford that right now)but his birthday is right after Christmas so these are for both holidays...

I got FH:

George Foreman Indoor/Outdoor Electric BBQ

A basket of little stuff to go with it:
Giants Salt and Pepper Shakers
Giants BBQ Tool Set
Giants Wine Glasses
Giants Serving Platter
Giants Pitcher
Giants BBQ Apron & Potholder Set
$50 Gift Cert. to Omaha Steaks

Black watch from Michael Kors
Leather wallet that will hold his badge
Beer tasting set from Bed Bath & Beyond

The series of Breaking Bad and 2 Heisenberg Wine Glasses/Pilsners to go with it

...aaaaand I'm broke.

SUPER late with this response it being Christmas and all already. Lol. My FH is also really into crossfit so since we set a budget of $100 for this year, sports authority was a perfect option for me. I bought him a new gym bag because the one he had was over 10 years old and beyond beat up (FH hates buying himself new things). I also bought him underarmor brand track pants and hoodie, an underarmor water bottle and a speed rope which I placed inside the new gym bag. Btw, I went over the $100 budget, but so did he!
