please excuse all the clutter. any suggestions in re: wall color, backsplash (is it needed?) table color? i am think beige or tan for the walls, moulding and maybe wainscotting/beadboard around eating area.
what are your thoughts?
the kitchen was done a yr ago and although i would prefer SS appliances, IMO it is not worth the $$$ to buy new appliances just because i do not like the white.
I know this isnt the answer you want, but your kitchen looks awesome to me. I love the chefs, I think I want to do that to my kitchen.

I definitely like SS, but I don't think it is worth the money to switch. I would just change the paint color. Man, the owner of your new house really likes knick knacks!!!

For the table, I would look for something in a cherry stain or cherrywood. Otherwise some type of cast iron would look cool too. I wouldn't do a pine or oak like they have. I think wainscoating would look great. IMO I would do a color that has more of a pop then a tan or a beige. That doesn't mean you have to do a bright color, just something that will make the kitchen pop. I don't think I would do a backsplash since the countertops (granite ?) has an upperlip that goes on the wall.
Great kitchen btw, congrats!!!

its a very nice kitchen and it doesnt need to be changed much. just a little bit of paint and there is a small backsplash made of granite so a full ceramic or porcelin backsplash might be much. but you can always do a few deco tiles

I also like the way it is now, minus the knick naks, but just a deeper color paint would make a big difference.

Great kitchen...I agree, I love the look of stainless or even black - especially with the cherry color cabinets and dark granite...but I wouldn't spend the $$$ on that just yet.
Not sure if I would do a backsplash...but I definitely would pick a warmer color - something with more *pop* than beige or tan. Molding would definitely add some nice architectural interest...wainscotting would as well - and it would carry the eye around to the table area.
As for the table - I agree with another poster who said go dark wood (cherry) or even a metal would be nice. I definitely wouldn't go light (pine) with the look of the kitchen.

Re: Need kitchen decorating advice
thats very similiar to the kitchen we're designing - (we also have pretty new appliances that are ivory and not worth changing yet) - you'll have to tell me how you like the stove there. We're debating putting it there but I wasn't sure I wanted to give up the work space.
I'd go for a deep russet color or a much deeper yellow/gold...
a backsplash and the wainscotting will have a great impact.
