Hey all... my friends just got engaged and they are looking for a venue for their engagment party.... it will be feb 2007 they will be having about 100 people... pref. in suffolk but will totally do nassau... buffet style dinner preffered *the hard part... also want to bring in 2-3 tabels liek blackjack, roulette for a vegas type theme
anyoen know of a place thats less then 65 pp and has all this? Thanks!

If she's not looking for anything fancy and wants to do the casino theme, she should just look into a K of C or something like that and have it catered. But, if she wants a nicer restaurant/venue, maybe look at Watermill, Brentwood Country Club, Irish Coffee Pub, Snapper Inn, Riverview (she could probably get good deals at the last two b/c they are waterfront and it's February).

i know my aunt did a casino themed party and rented a ballroom from a nice hotel and they allowed her to bring the casino party there! it was really nice!

The Bellmore Firehouse has been completely redone and it's REALLY nice. I just went to a Christening party there.
If you weren't looking for anything too expensive, you could have a very nice party there and just have it catered. I was very impressed with it.
I also went to a graduation party at a (K of C??) I think it was in Lynbrook... It was gorgeous - so nice inside, you could actually have a very nice small wedding there even.
If your friend might be interested in this route, I can find out exactly where that K of C was...
