So I ordered my stamps for my invitations about two weeks ago, my mother and I stuffed and sent out all the invitations on thursday (150) One of Fiannce friends calls me today to tell me that the response envelope has 41 cent stamps on them and the price went up, I just assumed that because I ordered them from the US POst office themselves it would be correct, we never even thought about it, what do I do now? All those response cards are short one penny, I am so embarrassed and mad!!! Help!!!!!

Oh no! The only thing I can think of is to send out 1 cent stamps with a cute poem or something. But that would cost you another $.43 per person.
I have read posts about the post office being leniant for a while. (especially since wedding response cards are small) The responses may still get to you.
I'll keep thinking of possible solutions!

Here's my thought... People are going to do one of two things.....
Some will mail them out without noticing that they're short....and let's face it - they'll be returned to sender (and guess who the sender is?......YOU!!!!!!!!!)...
OR - people will realize it and make the correction. It's not your fault at all that the price keeps going up... I'm really surprised more people aren't being affected by this.
It's not something to be embarrassed about at all hon......don't let it bother you!

Wait wouldnt the sender be the person who mailed the response card back> sorry im a little slow...lol I just hope I get them!!!! Pray for me, thanks for the advice!!!

I would see if they get returned to you, if not then like someone else had mentioned maybe send out 1 cent stamps with a little poem or something. Good luck!!

Awwww. Well Im sure the post office didnt knowwhen you would be using them. but that stinks!!! Maybe just call everyone and ask them if htey an add another stamp on that you werent aware of that! That really stinks.. On top of that UPS and other shipping postage is going up on MOnday as well!

i mailed mine out way before the price went up and made my rsvp date b4 the price went up...well i got some back after the date and it still got to me. i dont know what to say i mean myself i would just go buy a penny stamp if i recieved one...whats one penny

that stinks! But I think people will realize and add the 1 cent stamp. Its an honest mistake. You might just have to make a lot of calls as it gets closer to your rsvp date just to be safe. no one is going to think its tacky because that could have happened to anyone!

The only address on an RSVP envelope is typically your own.... I know mine didn't have any other addy's on them!

Some people put their return address on theirs but for the most part it was only my address. We by accident forgot to put some stamps on about maybe 3 envelopes and people just put one on and mailed it back. I don't know how we missed some of them but we did. It was an honest mistke
