i had my makeup trial yesterday, and i think i looked like a wax person - fake and plastic and just like a different person! I was really uncomfortable with it, and i'm not sure if i should do my own makeup, or do another trial, or if that's just how it's supposed to be??? this lady is expensive and reputable and she has done other people's makeup that i have liked...am i just being weird about it??
please post pics of makeup (before and after if you have) done by other people if you can...thanks!

Did you take any pics of yourself? I would love to see! I say go for another trial if you felt that uncomfortable, or, use Karen's wedding as a trial day as well!

Try Jillian...I barely felt like I was wearing any. I have pics in my album on here. She is Jillian from gorgeous faces....vendor on this site.
She also works with Sarah rock hair stylist if your interested.

I hated my first trial too even though I had really like the vendor's work on other LIW Brides. Have one more trial with another artist before you decided to do it yourself.

i don't think you're being weird..i went to two LIW vendors for trials-one airbrush and one traditional and both just felt the same way to me-not me. both we're super sweet and professional but the the make-up was just off. one was a little more cakey the other seemed to be something i could do...so i ended up doing my own. but i don't think you're weird at all! keep looking! i'm sure someone will give you the look you have in mind.

If you don't normally wear a lof of makeup it's normal to feel this way. I don't and after my trial I was like 'Hello Hooker' Fast forward to day of and a. I was too busy to even notice and b. it was necessary for all the 1,000,000 pictures with lights, people kissing you, sweat, stress, etc. to have that much make up on.
JMO....I don't have my pictures on this computer but I did post them back when I had my trial.

I used Denise -Angel Eyes and thought she did a great job. I hardly wear any makeup and told her that so she used soft colors. Like someone posted above if you dont usually wear makeup you may feel like its too much but the day of everything will look right with your gown and hair and you need something more dramatic for your pics anyway.

I used Makeup by Michelle. She did all my friends for their weddings, she's wonderful. She willcome to you for the trial and also the day of. HEr trials are $40 and the day of is $60
She does a beautiful job, and you still look like yourself!!!!!!!!!
