Hi-Happy Friday! I do not like the side that comes with my chicken dish-so I asked my BM at the RH to ask the chef for some alternate suggestions, preferably a pasta (I am Italian ) Well, he said I can do any pasta I would like, but in his opinion pasta isn't really 'wedding fancy', but if the bride & Groom want it he will do it. So, I need some opinions. I will give you the original dish. What I want to substitute is the polenta-any ideas are greatly appreciated-it doesn't have to be a pasta, I just really like pasta and both of the other dishes are being served w/ a type of potato, so I don't really want another potato variation.
Parmesan crusted chicken breast/ san marzano tomatoes/broccolini/fresh mozzarella/herbed polenta(this is what I want to change)/basil oil
TIA!

Re: need menu help
that is what it originally comes with-I don't want the herbed polenta-I need suggestions of what I can use instead of the polenta.

mmmm. i think the polenta is nice but if u dont want it....
i dont really think pasta would go with it, especially if its on the same plate.. if anything pasta with garlic and oil...

Re: need menu help
I think the pasta sounds good...it seems like most of the other items on the plate are in the Italian food 'genre' (fresh Mozzarella, etc) But I agree that a garlic and oil sounds better than a red sauce... Maybe they have different cuts of pasta to add a little flair to it? Something other than ziti or penne?

I was thinking maybe a pesto pasta b/c that is really just garlic, oil and basil sauce. Thoughts?
