Need Mexico help quick!!!

I need to decide between the Cancun Royal Sunset or the Mayan Palace in Riviera Maya for our mini honeymoon. I have to decide by tonight. Nothing like a little pressure!

Any feedback is appreciated!

TIA!

Riviera Maya - but make sure the hurricane didn't destroy too much. We are going to Cozumel the end of August and our hotel got damaged and won't be open until October. We did choose another hotel though.
Good Luck

OK, I think there's some confusion...the Riviera Maya (also known as the Yucatan Peninsula) is the 'towns' that the Mayans lived in around the beach...hence the term 'Riviera' they are:

Cancun
Playa del Carmen
Akumal
Cozumel
Tulum
and others...see map below...the difference is that some parts face the Caribean Sea (Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Cozumel) and others have lagoons or face the Gulf

Here's a link if you guys want to learn more about it, I just don't want anyone being mis-informed and making decisions based on non-facts. Have a great trip!

there is so much to do in Cancun...plus then you can go on trips to the ruins and Xcaret from there.
I love Cancun..been there twice and cant wait to go back. Im not a partier either but I have never been bothered by the clubbers there. I love the weather and the atmosphere.

also, on my way down to cozumel/playa del carmen

I know you pass by some very humble looking living arrangements of the locals.
Not to sound crass but if you are looking to makeyour hm romantic, that can bring the reality of where you are right home.
I know it sobered me right up when I went- its unbelieveable the shcks the locals live in.
Mainly in Cancun, you can avoid seeing that since its a tourist area.

Just something to consider. Noone wants to start crying (like I did) esp. on their honeymoon

Pretty much every vacation we go on, we have to pass through the 'local' towns, where they live in poverty. I guess I am used to it

Anyone been to the Royal Sunset Cancun or the Mayan Palace?

The reviews for the Royal Sunset were terrible on tripadvisor!
