ANYONE SEEN MOVIE 'COMING TO AMERICA' I WANT TO USE THE WEDDING AS MY THEME, DANCES AND EVERYTHING....NEED SOME IDEAS FOR RECEPTION...LIKE THESE AS CENTERPIECES TO CREATE A REAL AFRICA EFFECT, WITH LIGHTING ETC...
She's also thinking of doing an African-themed wedding. Maybe you guys can bounce ideas off of one another...

what if you did the branches, Im sure a florist can get them for you and you hung votive in them?

Ok I never saw this whole movie so I am totally not sure if you want it to be Africa themed or if you are looking for something specific in the movie. I did a few searches for you-hopefully there is something in hre that you can work from to create your own feel.
I definatly agree with the candle idea. The brnches with hcandles hung from them is not that daifficult to do. FYI, you can buy the votive holders at MICHAELS of other craft stores when they put them on sale for like 3 for a dollar or 4 for a dollar ans then have the florist hang them if that is easier for you.
Ok these are some of the ideas I got from websites when I googled 'africa themed weddings.'
This is from the DIY network (LOVE THIS PLACE!) and it talks about an ostrich plume centerpiece idea and some candles.
'Drape mosquito netting around the tables, on a hoop to cascade down over the cake table' (Mosquitoe netting is CHEAP CHEAP and it would look beautiful draped in the right places.)
