I haven't posted on this board for months..probably because I was doing well for the past 3 months - eating healthy and exercising. Well, for the past month, I have completely fallen off the wagon. I have been eating like cr*p, and I have exercised sporadically at best. I need to get back on track as I now have less than 5 months to my wedding!!
What seems to have been worked the best for you in getting motivated?

this kind of just happened to me. I was doing great for a few months... but then I got sick and had to stop working out for a week b/c I had a fever for quite a while... Well anyway, during that week I laid in bed every day and ate WHATEVER I want (oh, and I ate a lot!) - then the next week, I found myself finding excuses not to go. So now it's been two weeks, and I just started going back to the gym this weekend. My workouts are a lot slower than they were two weeks ago, and my eating is no where near as good as it was when I was at my motivated, pre-being-sick stage. However, I find that if I just force myself to go to the gym for 20 minutes or 30 minutes, slowly, I'm wanting to increase my time more. And if I go to the gym and get back into it, I know I'll start eating heathy again, since I won't want to be doing all of that work and then working against it with poor food choices. So I guess, for me, I just force myself to go and let the rest slowly fall into place. Once it becomes habit again it should be OK.

Thanks!! I know you are right...when I am exercising consistently, my eating sort of just follows suit. I guess my problem is in forcing myself to go to the gym!! Lately I have been finding myself totally eating junk and then using that as an excuse NOT to go to the gym..(I've already eaten so poorly, what is working out going to do? - type of mentality). UGH!! I just wish it was easy to force myself to go to the gym!!!!!!!

I had that mentality too. I gained two pounds. Hmph, might not seem like a lot, but I'm five foot two!!!
That got my butt back to the gym...
Well, good luck, I wish I could help more.

I was in a similar situation as well. I posted last week about how hard it was to get to the gym. I got sick 3 weeks ago with a throat infection, which completely derailed the progress I made. I weighed myself last week and found that I didn't gain any weight. I forced myself this weekend to go to the gym, much like 12-3 princess, by telling myself I only have to do 20 minutes. After my workout, I felt so good and realized how much I missed exercising. And today I got up early and took a class before work. I am trying to take things day by day. I tell myself in the morning that I am going to the gym today and keep it in the back of my head. I also bring my gymclothes to work and change into them before I leave.
You can do it!
