Need motivation!!!

Need motivation!!!

I have a paper to write- I have been staring at the computer for a long time. I want to get it done, but can't find the strength!! Any words of wisdom? This is my 3rd to last paper before I graduate.

It only needs to be 6 pages, which I can normally do in my sleep. Help!

the best advice a professor once gave me

Do an outline (obviously) but DON'T write the intro paragraph until the END. Just start with the 'meat' of the paper and it will go much faster. Do the intro and conclusion at the same time and it will match.

think of a rewrad you want for later and only allow yourself to have it after you have finished the paper.

Sunny - now you can motivate me. I have a paper due (tomorrow!!!) that also has to be 6 pages. I did 4 pages 2 weeks ago now can't seem to get the motivation to finish it.

I HATE WRITING PAPERS!!!! I'd rather take 5 tests than write 1 paper. What's is your paper on?

Margaret- You only have 2 pages left!! You can do it! I have 3 pages to go.....
My paper is about school social work and a suicide intervention case that I worked on. It is really pretty boring. yours??

Thanks for the push. I am such a procrastinator.

My paper is for my medical ethics class and my topic is: Should physisican-assisted suicide be legalized for AIDS patients? It's more of a reflection papaer but you have to bring in sources from our readings.

I'll try my hardest to fcous but you know I have to keep checking this site every few minutes.

Yes, I keep checking, too. Although I am the BIGGEST PROCRASTINATOR ever! I would never have written 4 pages weeks ago. This paper is due tuesday, and I am working on it now because I have no time tomorrow and would be up till 4 in the morning, which is what I usually do. I am actually proud of myself that I am writing it now, although I'd bet that I don't finish it today. I am going to try!

pschica - I'm on here more than usual whenever I have a paper due or a test. Good luck with yours!!

Sunny - do not give me so much credit. I only did 4 pages b/c it was due the day it snowed last and class was canceled. Since we meet on Mondays only and we have been off for Easter, tomorrow is the first time we meet in weeks. So it boils down to the fact that I had 3 extra weeks yet I still wait to the day before to do it.

Procrastinators UNITE!! hee hee

lol...we had three weeks too now - was due before our spring brak but the teacher was a week behind in the reading so we convinced him to push it back...a lot of good that did me - i stress now instead of two weeks ago....

I'd hate to see what I'd write with a few drinks in me - then again I wouldn't care.

Sunny - LOL about the group. Maybe we can all see how much work we can let pile up until Sunday night and have a contest to see who can finish first.

Maybe we can even have Bucket-like names. Mine would be 'Chief Bullsh*t Her Way Through a Paper because She Waited Until the Night Before to do it'

Margaret- good idea! Except I do that every sunday night anyway, like right now because I still have not finished my paper.
