So our wedding is the day before Mother's Day. On a normal Mother's Day, we would be having brunch at my aunts/grandma's house (I am actually going to be picking up this holiday and hosting it our place from now on, but obviously starting the year after the wedding LOL) and then later on go to FH's parent's or aunt's house for dinner.
So, since all my family is going to be at the hotel, my mom and aunt suggested that we just have the brunch at the hotel. I said that sounds fine with me and that the hotel had even sent us info on Day After Breakfast options if we wanted to do this.
Here is my dilemma: I know that this is taking the place of our normal family holiday events, BUT what about the guests of ours that are staying at the hotel after the wedding? I can't very well host a Day After brunch and not include them, even if it is technically a Mother's Day Brunch for our family. I just wouldn't feel right about it. I am pretty sure our whole WP is going to be staying at the hotel that night so I def wouldn't want to exclude them. Then there is the added issue of the cost (if we are paying for this I don't want this getting out of hand with guests).
What should we do...Should we do the breakfast through the hotel? If so, keep it just the family or include the other guest?
OR
Should my family just sort of meet up in the hotel lobby and make our way to a diner or something and have brunch there?

I think you should do it outside of the hotel - that way you can be with your family, keeping the tradition you always have and that way no one (as in guests) will get the wrong idea.
As a recco - the Fighter Club place is right next door and they do a KICK A$$ brunch.. we did that for a g2g a little while ago so that could be really cool for your family and its super close to where you already are.

true. If it's not approach as a day after brunch then it won't seem as bad.
And I should also add that this will most likely not include FH's family because as it stands right now they won't be staying at the hotel and actually taking the coach bus back to FH's parent's house. A lot of them are in from Europe and are most likely not going to want to spend the money on a hotel room once they get here (they will be staying at random family member's houses). Of course, if it changes and they do plan on staying at the hotel than they will be included.

I agree.. this way no one feels left you and you can still do the brunch withthe family. they do have a nice brunch there. and it really is right next door to the hotel. and it will be cheaper there than you paying for the breakfast for everyone at the hotel!
