We are having a reverend and a rabbi. They are charging us 600 each for a half hour (cash)...do you think I need to give them a tip? IMO they are just pocketing that cash but I wanted to see what others have done and think...

as much as i dont like it(cause i agree with you about them putting there fee right into there own pocket) i beleive you do tip them.... i think any vendor that provides service should be tipped...

We paid our officiant more than that and I did not tip him in addition to his fee. He waited a while, too, for a tip. But it was $750 and the final $300 was all cash on the day of the wedding. It was enough IMHO. Too much in retrospect, but the ceremony was lovely.

I am paying cash as well....hmmm I just feel like it is sooooooo much for just the half hour.....
if you do tip, how much would you say to tip each officiant? 50? (considering they are getting 500 cash to pocket that day)
