Need Opinions...

We got an invitation to FI's friend's wedding today...and it is addressed only to him. For the record, I have met this couple several times, they know we live together and they know we are engaged. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't know my last name, but if they were inviting me too, wouldn't they have included '& Guest'?

I guess my question is really this...should FI call and ask if I am invited, or should we just assume I am not? As a typical guy, FI thinks it's just an oversight -- and as I typical girl, I can't imagine how such an oversight can happen. I am also leery of him calling to ask because I know when our invites go out, they will be address exactly the way I want them to be -- I will be annoyed if anyone calls for clarification because I intend to make sure that it is very clear who is invited to our wedding.

What do you all think?

I think it's some weird oversight - they may have used a program for the envelopes and did adjust anything for the inner envelopes to include a guest. I would ask FH to call and confirm this.

I would hate to think a couple would ask an engaged person to a wedding without their live in parter.

have fi call and ask. who knows they may be on a budget. but it cant hurt to ask. maybe its an oversight?

Most likely it is an oversight or they really just don't know that you and he are together. This actually happened to me once..my FH wasn't invited, but this person just didn't know we were together. Definitley have him call and make sure.
